Welcome to Nova Beer Project, a craft beer brand based in Cape Town, South Africa! As a gypsy brewery, we have made it our mission to create unique and exceptional beers that capture the spirit of adventure and the beauty of nature. Our beers are crafted by the renowned female South African brewer, Anja van Zyl, who brings her passion and expertise to every batch.

 Nova Beer Project was born in 2021 from the thrill of adventure and craft beer. We believe in pushing the boundaries of traditional brewing to create innovative and one-of-a-kind beers. Our brewing process is imbued with creativity, as we constantly experiment with different flavors, techniques, and ingredients to craft beers that excite and intrigue the palates of beer lovers.

Inspired by the breathtaking landscapes and diverse flora and fauna of South Africa, our beers are an ode to the natural wonders that surround us. Each beer tells a story, reflecting the adventurous spirit of our team and capturing the essence of the untamed beauty found in our country.

As a gypsy brewery, we do not own a physical brewing facility, but instead collaborate with established breweries to bring our imaginative brews to life. This allows us to focus on what we do best – creating remarkable beers – while partnering with breweries that share our commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

 "Symbolically, 'Nova' represents a new beginning or a fresh start. In astronomy, a 'Nova'  refers to the sudden increase in brightness of a star, signifying an explosive burst of energy and transformation.
